Retro Swing 7 – seven Musicians and a Vocalist who do Classic Swing, Classic Rock, Jazz Standards and more. We call ourselves "retro" swing because we want to preserve the great music of the swing era while - at least occasionally - giving it a more contemporary twist. In our swing arrangements we sound as much as possible like the classic recordings of the 30s and 40s. In our jazz standards we look for new and interesting interpretations that give old music a fresh sound. And for good measure, we include other varieties such as classic rock, dixieland, polkas, etc. In every case, we try to pick only what we think is the very best of its kind. You’ll really enjoy our vocalist, Patty Powell. Our leader is John Zahn.
